Cabiri or Kaviri or Kavirian Gods were the four Great Gods, connected to Zeus, Athena, Hephaestus, and Dimitra. They were adored in Mysteries held in Samothrace and their name was never allowed to be spoken. Instead, their believers could invoke their strength, dominance and wisdom – attributes they prayed to acquire and admired with awe.
The worship of the Great Gods during the Mysteries had one purpose – the initiated would achieve a moral perfection. Considering they predated the Olympian Gods and that religions are born from the ones they replace, a spiritual elevation is, in fact, a process that it occurs deep in the heart and soul. This is the only truth that coexists among all beliefs.
